LaRina Pastificio e Vino

LaRina is the ultimate classic New York space with ornate century-old tin walls and ceilings, concrete floors and original millwork, none of which we wanted to touch, as it's what makes the space so special. We tread lightly on the space, maintaining its chill-but-elevated vibe, designing all new custom tales and seating in the front room, along with new shelving, mirrors and surprise hand-painted graphic touches throughout.

Chef Silvia Barban originally approached us with a request to help re-imagine the back area of her iconic restaurant. As these things go, once we visited the space and got down to what she and her partner really wanted, the scope grew and the tiny project became more than a quick exercise. The goal became more of a way to tie the whole space together holistically, add more seating, and give it the visual identity it needed after 7 years in business.
